To mark the occasion of the opening of "Le Surréalisme en 1947" in Paris, at seven in the evening Marcel takes Stefi Kiesler to dine at the Romany Restaurant on the junction of 14th Street and Second Avenue.

Originally conceived by Andre Breton and Duchamp earlier in the year [12.1.1947], "Le Surréalisme en 1947" opens at the Galerie Maeght, 13 Rue de Téhéran, where the exhibition rooms on the first floor have been transformed under Frederick Kiesler's direction into a succession of strange and fantastic environments.
