Is architecture really "for the most part, also degenerate and decadent?" I don't think so. For the most part, it's just plain mediocre.

It may be almost impossible for you, Gregory, to tell the difference between mediocre and degenerate/decadent, but it certainly isn't impossible for me to tell the difference. First off, degenerate/decadent is an extreme situation, and relatively rare. There's no rarity to the mediocre, and the only thing extreme about it is its overwhelming abundance.

With four men from the Museum of Modern Art practised in handling fragile works of art, Dee supervises the removal of the Large Glass from the library on the upper floor (where it has been standing since he repaired it [28.8.1936]) into the waiting truck provided by Thorn's removals and he accompanies the precious cargo on its slow journey to New York. The driver has been instructed not to exceed the speed of 15 m.p.h.! Arriving at six o'clock in the evening, the Large Glass is immediately transferred by elevator to the third floor of the museum, where it is to be installed the next day .
