Esther Sperber argues that to end abuse in architecture, stop believing in the creative genius myth
As to abuse within architecture, I'd point the guilty finger at position of power and enablers well before I'd point to creative genius as lone wolf. The abuser as well as the enablers are seduced by the position of power, and not seduced by creative genius. And the abuser doesn't use creative genius to manifest abuse, rather the abuser uses the position of power to manifest abuse.

Just in case it isn't obvious, I like fashion that has a point.

Do you remember...

"That's good boys. So far I see no erectile dysfunctions. And it looks like you're gonna deliver a big load."

"How Did This Happen Revisited"
Vanbrugh begins "How Did This Happen Revisited" by pointing out the dates of the gardens of Versailles (1661-1668) and the plan of Philadelphia (1683), and from there it's a enlightening chronological list of events.

"Paris, if it is like New York this year, must be unbearable," Marcel tells Roché , who is in Corrèze, With Teeny, he has spent three weeks of the heat wave at East Hampton on the northern tip of Long Island where there is "the Ocean on one side and calm water on the other".
"I don't remember at all the large portrait of me by Picabia (1935)," remarks Marcel saying that maybe a photo would jog his memory. As he has finished the translation of The Creative Act [5.4.1957] for Robert Lebel, he encloses a copy for Roché.

Walking back from the village, Denis de Rougemont reads of Hiroshima in the newspaper, and to everyone gathered on the gallery of the house he finds himself telling the story as if he had just come back from the scene of devastation. Rather than terror or meditation, the shock of the news provokes discussion which continues until midnight.
Finally, Duchamp interrupts a chess problem to say that the atomic bomb confirmed his point of I view: science is only mythology, its laws and the material itself are pure myth, and are no more or less real than the conventions of any old game.
"Nevertheless the bomb exploded at the appointed time!" remarks the doctor.
"Good evidence," replies Duchamp. "Everything had been arranged for that!

1939. Tuesday, Paris
It is the first time in 21 years that Miss Dreier has forgotten Dee's birthday. The reason, she explains, is that "a very exciting idea has shot up--what do you think," she asks him, "of the idea of selling [The Haven] for a--Country Museum?"
Concerned about the future of her collection, a month ago Miss Dreier wrote: "Of course the truth of the matter is that the tremendous care these pictures now demand is way beyond my strength and purse," and wonders about selling them at auction. As for the Société Anonyme, she declared: "just another museum of the present-day type would really not interest me."
"The idea of selling your country place for a Country Museum is a good idea," replies Dee, saying that he remembers meeting Dr William Hekking, who would be in charge. "But if you are to abandon all your collection with it," he warns, "I have a certain apprehension. You don't know who the buyers are and how long they will last. " If the house and the collection of the Société Anonyme are sold "as the basis of the country museum", Dee suggests that Miss Dreier might lend them her private collection, including the Large Glass: "I would keep a chance of saving something," he advises, "if this museum turned out to be the wrong thing."
Referring to Brancusi's Colonne sans fin, Dee says: "The column is yours [22.7.1936] and I agree to whatever you decide to have done to it for preservation. As long as the outside appearance is not changed."
