what stage is next?
Purchased rather cheaply via eBay over a decade ago, this first (1960) edition of THE BRIDE STRIPPED BARE BY HER BACHELORS, EVEN, a typographic version by Richard Hamilton of MARCEL DUCHAMP'S Green Box translated by George Heard Hamilton, was already falling apart, so I proceeded to carefully take the book apart. The intention was, and still is, to subsequently augment the fragmented book into something unique and/or unprecedented. I feel I'm getting closer to resolving what the augmentation is going to be, but, who knows, I might just turn it all back into a box, even.

After speaking to Wittenborn, Duchamp write to Richard Hamilton [26.3.1960] in London to confirm that the hard cover of his typographic version of the notes for the Large Glass is to be, as he suggested, exactly like the Green Box [16.10.1934]: green with the lettering, The Bride stripped bare by her bachelors, even, in white dots.
The usual design of Wittenborn's general series of books will be restricted to the dust jacket.
